You can make international payments (also known as telegraphic transfers) to an overseas bank account using Internet Banking.

You can make international payments using the BNZ app and send over 30 currencies to more than 230 countries.

Fee-free international payments online

We’ve removed our fee when you make international payments in a foreign currency through Internet Banking or the BNZ app. We also cover the fees charged by the overseas bank.^^

How sanctions affect international payments

Sanctions requirements may lead to delays in processing your payments. Make sure you’re familiar with sanctions and their impacts before doing business offshore.

We’ve suspended international payments in all currencies to Russia. This is due to global sanctions in response to the situation in Ukraine.

Receiving money from overseas

Get overseas payments deposited directly into your BNZ bank account. You may need to provide the sender with a few details, including our SWIFT BIC code.
