We’re invested in the future of basketball in Aotearoa New Zealand. We want to inspire the next generation, remove barriers, and create opportunities.
BNZ Kiwi Hoops is a programme by Basketball New Zealand for 5 to 13 year olds. It uses fun activities and games to help kids build skills, grow confidence, and develop love for the game.
Our support will allow 80,000 kids to take part in the programme in the first three years of our partnership.
The BNZ Breakers are New Zealand’s only team in the Australian National Basketball League. They’re committed to growing the sport and creating pathways for young players.
In 2023, we introduced BNZ Court of Dreams. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime courtside experience to get more kids to BNZ Breakers’ games.
The BNZ Northern Kāhu are a women’s semi-professional basketball team. They represent Auckand and Northland in the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa competition.
Our support has enabled them to invest in coaching and facilities. It’s also helped expand the BNZ Kāhu Wings, a programme developing the skills of young female athletes.
We love being part of events that celebrate Aotearoa New Zealand’s cultural and ethnic diversity.
The annual BNZ Auckland Diwali Festival attracts over 60,000 people. The festival is a vibrant showcase of Indian culture. It features music, dance, and stalls offering special foods and crafts.
The BNZ Auckland Lantern Festival marks the Lunar New Year. It’s Auckland’s largest annual festival, attracting over 110,000 people. Held at the Manukau Sports Bowl, it’s a cultural celebration for all.
