Pricing: monthly fixed fees

BNZ Pay app monthly fixed fee applies only when you use your device to take payments. You can have the app installed in up to three devices. Monthly fixed fee will be charged per device.

In addition to the monthly fixed fee for the BNZ Pay app, you have a choice of transaction fee pricing.

Designed for businesses with varying sales volume. We automatically put you on the tier that delivers the lowest transaction fees each month.

Designed for higher sales volumes or specific card types. Transaction fees are charged as a percentage of net sales depending on the card type.

Interchange Plus

You pay exactly what it costs to process your transactions, but it may provide less certainty of costs from month to month. Eligibility criteria applies.

Packaged pricing

You don’t have to choose a package. We’ll calculate which package is the most cost-effective for you based on your net sales each month.
Packaged pricing is available for BNZ customers who:

- process up to $300,000 in net sales per month
- process less than 10% of net sales on international cards
- process less than 10% of net sales on corporate cards
- settle all transactions to a BNZ business account.

Other eligibility criteria may apply.

Split pricing

We split your merchant service fee by applying different fixed rates for certain contactless card transactions, to recognise lower interchange costs depending on whether it is a New Zealand debit or credit card, or an international card.

Transaction fees are charged as a percentage of net sales (i.e. sales less refunds) depending on the card type.
Split pricing fixed rates apply for merchants who:

- settle all transactions to a BNZ business account (a premium of 0.45% applies for merchants who settle transactions to non-BNZ business accounts)
- process less than 10% of net sales on corporate cards.
